Public Accusations

If, after a hearing, the Commission concludes that probable cause exists to believe that a violation of the City’s campaign, lobbying or conflict of interest laws has occurred, the Executive Director will issue a public accusation describing the relevant allegations.

After the issuance of the accusation, the Commission will hold a hearing on the merits to determine if the respondent has committed a violation of law. The respondent has the right to be present and represented by counsel at the hearing, which is open to the public.
