SUMMARY OF ACTIONS TAKEN AT ETHICS COMMISSION JULY MEETING
At its regular meeting on July 12, 2004, the San Francisco Ethics Commission took the following action:
- Adopted a Statement of Incompatible Activities for the members and staff of the Ethics Commission.
- Cancelled the regularly scheduled meeting for
August 9, 2004 and decided to hold a special meeting to make a final determination as to whether the amount in the Election Campaign Fund is sufficient to fund all candidates for the Board of Supervisors who may be eligible to received public financing. The date of the meeting is uncertain. Depending on the schedules of the Commissioners, it will be held sometime between August 25 and September 2, 2004
The date of the next Commission meeting will be determined.

The Ethics Commission, established in November 1993, serves the public, City employees and officials and candidates for public office through education and enforcement of ethics laws. Its duties include: filing and auditing of campaign finance disclosure statements, lobbyist and campaign consultant registration and regulation, administration of the public financing program and whistleblower program, conflict of interest reporting, investigations and enforcement, education and training, advice giving and statistical reporting.
