SUMMARY OF ACTIONS TAKEN AT JULY 10, 2006 MEETING
At its meeting on July 10, 2006, the San Francisco Ethics Commission took the following action:
- Received public comment and discussed a template for the Statement of Incompatible Activities. The Commission deferred approval of the template until the August 14 meeting, to accommodate the Sunshine Ordinance Task Force’s request to review the draft template.
- Approved by a 4-0 vote, regulations to implement amendments to the Campaign Finance Reform Ordinance related to the public financing program for Mayoral candidates, which the Commission will begin to implement in the Fall 2006. Other changes are the result of other changes in the law, such as the elimination of run-off elections due to Ranked Choice Voting. Under the Charter, regulations adopted by the Commission become effective 60 days after the date of adoption unless before the expiration of the 60-day period two-thirds of all members of the Board of Supervisors vote to veto the regulations. S.F. Charter § 15.102.
The Ethics Commission will next meet on Monday, August 14, 2006 at 5:30 p.m. in Room 408 City Hall.
