Year 2014 Random Audit Selection

At its meeting of March 23, 2015, the Ethics Commission randomly selected ten campaign committees and four lobbyist firms to be audited.

Selection of Campaign Committee Audits

The ten campaign committees were selected from a pool of 60 committees that were active in elections during the calendar year 2014.  The audit pool of 60 committees was categorized into three levels of financial activity with six committees selected from Financial Activity Level 1 (Above $100,000), two committees selected from Financial Activity Level 2 (above $50,000 to $100,000) and two committees selected from Financial Activity Level 3 ($10,000 to $50,000).  The ten committees selected are as follows:

Selection of Lobbyists Audits

The four lobbyists employers were selected from a pool of 37 lobbyist employers active during the period covering July 26, 2014 through December 31, 2014.  The audit pool of 37 lobbyist employers was categorized into three levels of activity based on the higher of payments or contacts reported.  Two lobbyists employers were selected from Activity Level 1 (above $100,000 or 100 contacts), one from Activity Level 2 (above $50,000 to $100,000 or above 50 to 100 contacts), and one from Activity Level 3 ($10,000 to $50,000 or 10 to 50 contacts).  The four lobbyists employers selected are as follows:
