At its next regular meeting on Monday, January 25, 2016, at 5:30 p.m. in Room 400, City Hall, the San Francisco Ethics Commission will discuss and possibly act on draft regulations to interpret and implement Prop. C. Draft language will be available for review on the Commission web site and at the Commission office prior to the meeting. Proposition C was approved by San Francisco voters last fall and takes effect February 1, 2016. It imposes registration and reporting requirements on "expenditure lobbyists" that urge the public to lobby City officials. Based on the Commission's direction following public input and its discussion on January 25, Staff may make further changes to the draft regulations and circulate any revised proposed regulations for additional public review and comment, and schedule further action by the Commission at a future meeting.
