Ethics Commission Staff will be presenting a public workshop on researching local campaign finance data in San Francisco. The workshop is designed to promote understanding of basic campaign finance laws and online tools available at the Ethics Commission to effectively research local campaign finance disclosures by increasing familiarity with:
- Campaign finance basics: committees, contributions, and expenditures
- Financial disclosures: what is required and how to look them up
- Data Dashboards: how to use Ethics Commission online research tools
