March 7, 2022
At its next monthly meeting on Friday, March 18, 2022 at 10:00 am, the San Francisco Ethics Commission will consider an amendment to its Bylaws to change the start time of its regular Commission meetings.
Currently, Ethics Commission Bylaws provide that the Ethics Commission will meet regularly on the Second Friday of each month beginning at 9:30 am in City Hall Room 400, unless otherwise noticed. In January 2022, the Commission adopted a meeting schedule for Calendar Year 2022 with meetings that reflect that start time. Since that time, Commissioners have expressed a desire to change the start time of regular monthly meetings from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
As proposed and unless otherwise noticed, the Commission would hold its regular monthly meeting in City Hall Room 400 on the second Friday of the month beginning at 10:00 a.m.
Pursuant to Article XII of its bylaws, the Ethics Commission may amend its bylaws “at any regular meeting of the Commission by majority vote of those present, provided such proposed amendments are circulated in writing to all Commissioners at least ten (10) days prior to such meeting, and ten days public notice shall be posted.” The proposed bylaws change has been provided to Commissioners in compliance with Art. XII and is being publicly noticed here to meet the 10-day notice requirement.
Comments on the proposed Bylaws amendment are welcomed and may be sent to ethics.commission@sfgov.org, or via regular mail to San Francisco Ethics Commission, 25 Van Ness Avenue, Suite 220, San Francisco, CA 94102.
