Chair Theis Finlev called the meeting to order at 10:06am. With Commissioners Argemira Flórez Feng, Karen Bell Francois, and Yaman Salahi participating, a quorum was present.
Under Item 2, provided the opportunity for general public comment on matters not appearing on the agenda.
Under its Consent Calendar, provided the opportunity for public comment on all consent calendar items and voted 4-0 to adopt a motion by Chair Finlev and seconded by Commissioner Salahi to approve the following consent calendar items that required action by the Commission:
Item 4, Executive Director’s report dated April 8, 2024 was informational and required no action by the Commission, but the opportunity for public comment was provided.
Under Item 5, discussion and possible action regarding the Proposed Stipulation, Decision and Order In the Matter of David Wasserman. Under this item, the Commission took the following actions:
- Approved a motion by Commissioner Salahi to adopt the stipulation in Item 5. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Flórez Feng and approved unanimously (4-0).
Under Item 6, discussion and possible action regarding the Proposed Amendments to Ethics Commission Campaign Finance Regulations. Under this item, the Commission took the following actions:
- Approved a motion by Chair Finlev to adopt the proposed amendments to the regulations discussed in Item 6. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Salahi and approved unanimously (4-0).
Under Item 7, heard a presentation on Implementation of Proposition D.
Under Item 8, heard a presentation on Campaign Finance Dashboards.
Under Item 9, provided the opportunity to discuss items for future meetings.
Under Item 10, provided additional opportunity for general public comment on matters not appearing on the agenda.
Under Item 11, adjourned the meeting at 11:17am.
Draft Minutes for the April 12, 2024, Regular Meeting will be available upon their completion and will be included on the Agenda for a future Regular Meeting of the Commission, which will be made available on the Commission’s website at sfethics.org.
