About the Statement of Economic Interests
The California Political Reform Act (Gov. Code sections 81000 et seq.) requires state and local government officials who substantially participate in government decisions to publicly disclose their personal assets and income. Elected officials, department heads, and members of boards and Commissions listed in Campaign and Governmental Conduct Code Sec. 3.1-103 file the Form 700 with the Ethics Commission. Designated employees listed in Campaign and Governmental Conduct Code Sec. 3.1-100 to 3.1-500 file the Form 700 with their department’s designated filing officer.
Statements of Economic Interests are public documents. Any member of the public may inspect and copy any statement. Forms filed with the Ethics Commission are viewable on the Ethics Commission web site. Filings accessed over the Internet have content redacted from the forms. Unredacted filings may be viewed using computers in the Ethics Commission’s office during regular business hours.
