SUMMARY OF ACTIONS TAKEN AT ETHICS COMMISSION MARCH MEETING
At its regular meeting on
March 8, 2004
, the San Francisco Ethics Commission took the following action:
- Voted 3-1, with one member recusing himself, to investigate possible violations of the Sunshine Ordinance by Executive Director Ginny Vida and Deputy Executive Director Mabel Ng;
- Approved a job announcement for the Executive Director and discussed processes for the hiring of the Executive Director;
- Adopted regulations under Prop E related to incompatible activities for referral to the Board of Supervisors; and
- Discussed the policy priorities for the Ethics Commission for the coming year.
The next regular meeting of the Ethics Commission will be
April 12, 2004

The Ethics Commission, established in November 1993, serves the public, City employees and officials and candidates for public office through education and enforcement of ethics laws. Its duties include: filing and auditing of campaign finance disclosure statements, lobbyist and campaign consultant registration and regulation, administration of the public financing program and whistleblower program, conflict of interest reporting, investigations and enforcement, education and training, advice giving and statistical reporting.
