SUMMARY OF ACTIONS TAKEN AT NOVEMBER 26, 2012 MEETING
At its regular meeting on November 26, 2012, the San Francisco Ethics Commission took the following actions:
- By a series of 5-0 votes, approved draft regulations to govern the Ethics Commission’s handling of complaints related to alleged violations of the Sunshine Ordinance and referrals from the Sunshine Ordinance Task Force.
- By a pair of 5-0 votes, approved draft amendments to the Campaign Finance Reform Ordinance (CFRO), San Francisco Campaign and Governmental Conduct Code section 1.100 et seq. The amendments impose disclosure requirements on “draft committees” that support the qualification and/or election of an identifiable person for City elective office.
The Commission’s regularly scheduled meeting for December 2012 has been cancelled. The next regular meeting of the Commission will be held on Monday, January 28, 2013 in Room 400 City Hall.

The Ethics Commission, established in November 1993, serves the public, City employees and officials and candidates for public office through education and enforcement of ethics laws. Its duties include: filing and auditing of campaign finance disclosure statements, lobbyist and campaign consultant registration and regulation, administration of the public financing program, whistleblower program, conflict of interest reporting, investigations and enforcement, education and training, advice giving and statistical reporting.
