SUMMARY OF ACTIONS TAKEN AT AUGUST 18, 2014 SPECIAL MEETING
At its special meeting on August 18, 2014, the San Francisco Ethics Commission took the following actions:
- Approved the Commission’s response to the 2013-2014 Civil Grand Jury report, “Ethics in the City: Promise, Practice or Pretense,” which includes certain revisions to the draft response prepared by the Commission’s staff. The Commission’s response to the Civil Grand Jury’s findings and recommendations is due by August 25, 2014.
The next regular meeting of the Commission will be held on Monday, September 22, 2014 in Room 400 City Hall at 5:30 pm.

The Ethics Commission, established in November 1993, serves the public, City employees and officials and candidates for public office through education and enforcement of ethics laws. Its duties include: filing and auditing of campaign finance disclosure statements, lobbyist and campaign consultant registration and regulation, administration of the public financing program, whistleblower program, conflict of interest reporting, investigations and enforcement, education and training, advice giving and statistical reporting.
