At its next special meeting on Monday, February 29, 2016, at 5:30 p.m. in Room 400, City Hall, the San Francisco Ethics Commission will discuss and possibly act on revised draft regulations to interpret and implement Prop. C. The proposed regulations will be available for review on the Commission website and at the Commission office prior to the meeting. Proposition C was approved by San Francisco voters last fall and took effect February 1, 2016. It imposes registration and reporting requirements on “expenditure lobbyists” that urge the public to lobby City officials. Following public input and its discussion on February 29, the Commission may adopt the proposed regulations, direct Staff to make further changes to the proposed regulations and circulate any additional revisions for further public review and comment, or schedule further action by the Commission at a future meeting.
