The Ethics Commission’s July 25, 2016 Regular Meeting agenda and Amended Regular Meeting agenda notice possible action by the Commission to amend its bylaws. The proposed amendment would establish a process regarding requests for public records directed toward Members of the Ethics Commission and a notification requirement for its Executive Director. A separate 10-day public notice posted to comply with Commission bylaws, however, referenced an incorrect meeting date for the Commission’s next meeting. The July 27, 2016 date referenced in that posting was inaccurate, and should have stated the bylaws will be considered at the Commission’s next meeting on Monday, July 25, 2016. We regret the error and apologize for any scheduling inconveniences it may have caused.
To ensure the full opportunity for public input and full compliance with the requirements of Commission bylaws, the Commission will not take up consideration of the proposed amendment at its July 25 meeting. Instead, the item will be continued to the Commission’s next Regular Meeting on August 22, 2016. That meeting begins at 5:30 pm in Room 400 City Hall, 1 Dr. Carlton B. Goodlett Place, San Francisco.
The proposed amendment and the Commission’s existing Bylaws can be viewed online and downloaded from the Ethics Commission’s web site atwww.sfethics.org.
