Chair Yvonne Lee called the Meeting to order at 10:05am. With Commissioners Theis Finlev, Argemira Flórez Feng, and Yaman Salahi participating, a quorum was present.
Under Item 2, provided the opportunity for general public comment on matters not appearing on the agenda.
Under its Consent Calendar, provided the opportunity for public comment on all consent calendar items and voted 4-0 to adopt a motion by Commissioner Finlev (it is unknown who seconded the motion due to technical difficulties) to approve the following Consent Calendar items that required action by the Commission:
- Item 3, Draft Minutes for May 5, 2023, Regular Meeting,
- Item 4, Draft Minutes for May 19, 2023, Special Meeting.
Item 5, Acting Executive Director’s report dated June 5, 2023 and Item 6, Director of Enforcement’s report dated June 5, 2023 were informational and required no action by the Commission. Item 7 was removed from the Consent Calendar at the request of Commissioner Salahi.
Under Item 7, discussed Proposed Stipulation, Decision and Order In the Matter of Progress San Francisco, Vince Courtney, Jr., and Shawnda Deane and approved by unanimous consent, a motion by Commissioner Salahi and seconded by Chair Lee, to approve the proposed stipulation.
Item 8 was withdrawn by the requestor and not heard by the Commission.
Item 9 was continued to the Commission’s next meeting.
Under Item 10, heard a presentation on, and discussed, the Ethics@Work Program implementation.
Under Item 11, provided the opportunity to discuss items for future meetings.
Under Item 12, provided additional opportunity for general public comment on matters not appearing on the agenda.
Under Item 13, adjourned the meeting at 11:01am.
Draft Minutes for the June 9, 2023, Regular Meeting will be available upon their completion and will be included on the Agenda for the Commission’s next Regular Meeting, which will be made available on the Commission’s website at sfethics.org.
