- Chair Lee called the meeting to order at 9:35 With Commissioners Larry Bush and James Bell in attendance, a quorum was present. Commissioner Daina Chiu joined the meeting at 9:52am.
- Under Item 2, provided the opportunity for public comment on matters appearing or not appearing on the agenda.
- Under Item 3, discussed the Draft Minutes of the Commission’s August 13, 2021 regular meeting approved (3-0) a motion by Commissioner Bush, seconded by Chair Lee to approve the minutes as drafted.
- Under Item 4, discussed the Draft Minutes of the Commission’s October 8, 2021 regular meeting approved (3-0) a motion by Commissioner Bush, seconded by Commissioner Bell to approve the minutes as drafted.
- Under Item 5, unanimously (4-0, with Commissioner Chiu having joined the meeting) adopted a motion by Commissioner Bell, seconded by Chair Lee, to approve a Resolution on Continuation of Remote Commission Meetings.
- Under Item 6, discussed Staff cover memo and draft ordinance and regulation amendments to enact recommendations contained in “Report on Gift Laws Part A: Gifts to Individuals,” dated August 2, 2021, and “Report on Gift Laws Part B: Gifts to City Departments,” dated September 29, 2021. No action was taken as the item was provided for informational purposes only.
- Under Item 7, heard and discussed Staff report on FY22 First Quarter Status Report on Implementation of Recommendations of the August 2020 Budget & Legislative Analyst’s (BLA) Performance Report of the Ethics Commission. No action was taken as the item was provided for informational purposes only.
- Under Item 8, heard and discussed the Executive Director’s Report. No action was taken as the item was provided for informational purposes only.
- Under Item 9, discussed possible items for future meetings.
- Under Item 10, provided the opportunity for additional public comment on matters appearing or not appearing on the agenda.
- Under Item 11, adjourned the meeting at 12:05 p.m.
