Chair Argemira Flórez-Feng called the meeting to order at 10:10am. With Vice-Chair Yaman Salahi, Commissioners David Tsai, Karen Bell Francois, and Kevin Yeh participating, a quorum was present.
Item 2 provided the opportunity for general public comment on matters not appearing on the agenda.
The Consent Calendar provided the opportunity for public comment on all consent calendar items and voted 5-0 to adopt a motion by Vice-Chair Salahi and seconded by Commissioner Yeh to approve the following consent calendar items that required action by the Commission:
- Item 3, Draft Minutes for the July 11, 2025, Regular Meeting
- Item 4, Draft Minutes for the August 8, 2025, Regular Meeting
Item 6, Enforcement Report dated September 5, 2025, was informational, but the opportunity for public comment was provided.
Item 7, Electronic Disclosure and Data Analysis (EDDA) Report, was informational, but the opportunity for public comment was provided.
Item 5, Executive Director’s Report dated September 5, 2025, was pulled from the Consent Calendar for further discussion and was informational, but the opportunity for public comment was provided.
Under this item, the Commission took the following actions:
- Approved a motion by Commissioner Tsai and was seconded by Vice-Chair Salahi and approved unanimously (5-0).
Item 8, Discussion and Possible Action on Legislation Related to Ethics Commission Streamlining Project was informational, but the opportunity for public comment was provided. Under this item, the Commission took the following actions:
- Approved a motion by Vice Chair Salahi and was seconded by Commissioner Tsai and approved unanimously (5-0).
Item 9, provided the opportunity to discuss items for future meetings.
Item 10, provided an additional opportunity for general public comment on matters not appearing on the agenda.
Item 11, adjourned the meeting at 11:34am.
Draft Minutes for the September 12, 2025, Regular Meeting will be available upon their completion and will be included on the Agenda for a future Regular Meeting of the Commission, which will be made available on the Commission’s website at sfethics.org.
