The San Francisco Ethics Commission’s Staff will be holding a training session for candidates in the November 2019 election and their treasurers on the following date:
Thursday, June 6, 2019
2:00 PM – 3:30 PM
Room 70, 25 Van Ness Avenue,
San Francisco, CA 94102
We ask that those planning to attend the session to R.S.V.P. by Thursday, May 30 2019 to ensure sufficient seating and materials.
Under City law, candidates for City elective office and their treasurers (and assistant treasurers who sign and verify campaign statements) must attend a training conducted by the Ethics Commission prior to each election in which the candidate’s name will appear on the ballot.
An individual who serves as the treasurer for more than one committee is not required to attend a training if that individual has attended such a training within the previous 12 months. (See San Francisco Campaign & Governmental Conduct Code § 1.107).
Please note that the training session on June 6 is specifically customized for November 2019 candidates and their treasurers. Information about additional training opportunities for candidates and their treasurers, as well as information sessions for other committee treasurers for the November 2019 election, will be posted on the Ethics Commission’s website as details are confirmed.
For questions or assistance please contact the Ethics Commission at ethics.commission@sfgov.org or (415) 252-3100. We will be happy to assist you.
