Before You Vote, Read The Label
Use “Democracy Facts” to get the campaign information you need for San Francisco’s 2014 election. Modelled on the nutrition labels found on food items, our “Democracy Facts” label shows the major funders of political committees established to support or oppose City ballot measures. By providing key funding information, the label demonstrates the breadth of financial support these ballot measure committees do or do not have from members of the public. The San Francisco Ethics Commission developed the label using data that is publicly accessible on the Commission’s website. The “Democracy Facts” label is a variation on a label designed by Professor Justin Levitt of Loyola Law School.
