About the Campaign Consultant Data
Between the enactment of the Campaign Consultant law and (what is scheduled to be) January 2025, statements were filed with the Ethics Commission on paper or in scanned paper format. Pertinent sections of the form had to be manually transcribed into a series of machine-readable datasets on a quarterly basis. The datasets of filings from this era are made available on SF OpenData. The datasets can be downloaded to many common formats including Excel, CSV, and JSON.
For the 2024 period, staff time will be spent on the development of an electronic system rather than manual transcription. Statements for this period will only be available in scanned paper format through the public disclosure portal. The datasets linked below are presented for historical purposes, and cover the period of 2014-2023.
